Career guidance is a comprehensive, developmental program designed to equip individuals with the necessary knowledge, skills and values in making and implementing informed educational and occupational choices at each stage of their education or work challenges, and hence to manage their career pathways and lifelong learning.

These challenges may include (but are not limited to) dealing with redundancy; seeking a new job; changing careers; returning to work after a career break; building new skills; personal and professional development; going for promotion; or setting up a business.
