Some people want to continue to use just SafeEntry or the SingPass app to gain entry to public venues. Straits Times Facebook users argue that TraceTogether does something more than those methods.

A grumpy chorus of “Why can’t I continue to use just SafeEntry/SingPass/NRIC” arose among Straits Times Facebook users in response to the upcoming roll-out of TraceTogether-only SafeEntry.
